A laugh-out-loud chapter book series for readers ages 8 to 12
Join brothers Link and Hud on imagination-fueled adventures through written and graphic novel chapters in the new series from Caldecott Honor-winning creators Jarrett and Jerome Pumphrey!
Link + Hud: Heroes by a Hair
Meet Link and Hud—two brothers causing chaos in an illustrated chapter book from real-life brothers Jarrett and Jerome Pumphrey!
Lincoln and Hudson Dupré are brothers with what grown-ups call “active imaginations”. Link and Hud hunt for yetis in the Himalayas and battle orcs on epic quests. Unfortunately, their imaginary adventures wreak havoc in their real world. Dr. and Mrs. Dupré have tried every babysitter in the neighborhood and are at their wits’ end. Enter Ms. Joyce: strict and old-fashioned, she proves to be a formidable adversary. The boys don’t like her or her rules and decide she’s got to go. Through a series of escalating events—told as high-action comic panel sequences—the brothers conspire to undermine Ms. Joyce and get her fired. When they go so big that even Ms. Joyce can’t fix it, suddenly she’s out. Finally, success! Or is it? With warm and authentic humor, creators Jarrett and Jerome Pumphrey have blended prose and graphic novel-style illustrations to craft a unique and subversive new series full of brotherly mischief and mayhem.

Link + Hud: Sharks & Minnows
Link and Hud are back with more mischief and mayhem in this epic summer adventure!
Lincoln and Hudson Dupré are ready for their summer holiday to the coast. The ocean is perfect for their escapades but when their dad cuts their trip short, it seems like the end of Link and Hud’s aquatic adventures—until they run into the ultra-competitive Donaldson brothers, who are on the local swimming team. The Sharks and Coach Strickler will do anything to win and they’re not welcoming. Well, if Link and Hud can’t join the Sharks, they’ll set up their own “swimming team”, with events like deep-sea treasure hunting and supersonic water walking. When Coach Strickler tries to shut down their team, Link and Hud and their Mighty Minnows must outswim and outsmart the Sharks to keep the fun afloat.
